We understand how important it is to feel comfortable with
your maid service. After all, you are letting a
complete stranger into your home or office. That's why
we have taken every possible precaution to ensure your
security and to make you feel at home with our housekeeping
service. Below are a few of the most common security
concerns. If its not on the list, please feel free to
contact us. We will be more than happy to answer any
questions you may have.
I've heard to always ask maid
services if they are bonded and insured. Are you...and
what exactly does that mean anyway?
Yes, we are fully bonded and insured by Detwiler Inc. Bonding
refers to the protection afforded to the customer if an
employee steals from the customer (never happened yet).
Insured means that our employees carry liability coverage
for personal injuries and property damage, as well as
workers' compensation insurance. Basically this means
that if anything is stolen, broken or an employee is injured
in your home or office we will cover the costs.
I'm still concerned about my
valuables. What extra steps do you take against theft
in my home or office?
Because we are family-owned and run, we employ only a few
cleaners all of whom we have known for many years. Any
new employees are screened carefully and must accompany one
of our professional cleaners on all jobs for a two-week
trial period. Only after we feel completely secure of
a trainee's integrity will we introduce a new housekeeper
into our company.
Furthermore, we are professionals who have chosen
housekeeping or commercial cleaning as our occupation.
We understand that in our profession integrity is just as
important as skill. As professional cleaners, stealing
from you is just as unthinkable to us as it would be for you
to steal the money from the cash drawer or a computer from
your company's office.
I can't help it. I just
feel strange letting a stranger clean my home.
So would we. That's why we encourage you to
get to know us. Our Premier Maintenance cleaning family will be a
frequent visitor to your home for many years to come.
Feel free to stay home and supervise our work. Talk to
us. We like to socialize. Let our family get to
know yours, and you won't feel like we're strangers for
long.
If I choose to give my maid a
key how is it handled?
Your key is checked into a secure cabinet every
night. Your key will never be available to anyone
else--even a temporary housekeeper--without your express
permission. We never make copies and your key is
labeled only with general information (such as street name
or apartment complex). It is never labeled with
a house number or more specific information, so that even in
the rare event that a key is lost, the key would not be easy
for others to use.
What if I have an alarm
system? If
you wish your housekeeper or office-cleaner to know the
alarm code, we will naturally keep it in the strictest of
confidence. All of our cleaners are well versed in
using alarm systems. As an alternative, you can simply
choose not to set the alarm when you know the cleaner is
coming.
What happens when my
housekeeper goes on holiday or is sick?
You can opt to receive a temporary housekeeper or
not. The choice is up to you; and you will, of course,
be notified of the situation. Your temporary
housekeeper will receive your key only if you so request.
What about payroll taxes?
One of the benefits of using a cleaning
agency such as Premier Maintenance Co. Inc. is that you never have to worry
about payroll taxes. You pay us, we take care of the
legalities.
